You guys do anything specific to train your grip strength? I just started focusing more on it. I got some CoC grippers. I also do wrist curls, and fat bar lifts. What do you guys do?

I've not used Captains of Crush (is that it) but heard good stuff. What I will say though, and this is a WARNING and absolute MUST: Equally exercise the 'opening' movement of your hand. A lot of these exercises focus on squeezing your hand (like forming a fist) and these work a half dozen or so tendons in your forearm. BUT, there is another half dozen or so tendons responsible for opening your hand and spreading your fingers wide. What's important about this is the two sets of tendons act as stabilisers to each other. By just doing crushing exercises not only will your grip not be as effective, but the other set of tendons can become static due to less use and this is where problems such as Repetitive Strain Injury and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can appear (the use of a keyboard and mouse, and guitar players for instance over use the 'closing' tendons compared to the 'opening' cases RSI and CTS). So, how to exercise the 'opening' tendons? The best thing is finding resistance bands (like rubber bands) of varying thickness and put these around your fingers and open your hand against the them. I'm not sure if there's something like a reverse crusher which you'd use like opening a pair of scissors, and if not maybe I should look into inventing one and becoming a squillionaire! In the meantime I've been using something like this: It's a squeeze ball and resistance band combo. I think they're pretty good, not overly comfortable if you have large hands but tolerable, and they're dirt cheap too.

Thanks man. Yeah I never did the reverse before. I'll have to start.
