I tried kettlebells and clubbells for the first time. I really liked them. I was really surprised how hard the clubbells were. Even the 20lb clubbells were tough. I recommend them. Just start out lighter than you think you should.

Yeah, you'd be surprised how awkward clubs can be until you use them for the first time. Get pulled in all sorts of directions if you're not careful!

Ive made my own out of black pipe and it weighs a fair amout for being empty. I have also used sledgehammers much like macebells, but I must admit I dont use either faily often, or at all really that much anymore. Not that there bad, there great, but they just seemed to slip out of my programming.

I use kettlebells a lot, and I think they are very useful. It's more important to be conditioned than to build strength in grappling and I feel they work your conditioning much more.
