Thanks a lot for posting, I'll move this to the Catch Gym forum.I know of Shane Rigby yes, I believe he knows Kamal Shalrous very well and they trained catch and wrestling together when Kamal was based in the UK. Kamal represented Great Britain at the Olympics in Freestyle wrestling and placed 5th in the world for his weight class.

Not really no. Even BJJ is scarce. I'd have to move into the city for anything decent, like London Shootfighters.

I hope it does as well but you always got to put in the footwork to make it popular. Relying on what little traffic sherdog's grappling forum gets will just lead to the board fizzling out.

I'm between Ashford and Maidstone, essentially. I'm trying to sort stuff out to move to or nearer London but it's a slow process and I've got a lot of stuff to take care off.

I feel you on that. I gave up moving to London after months of no luck on the job/house front. Seems you have to compete for every little scrap there. I'm in St Helens now which is definitely an adequate substitute given the wrestling heritage of this area. Have you been to any of the Carlson BJJ classes in Ashford/Tonbridge?

I think I went to one once, but this would have been a year or two back. I also had to borrow a gi with blue trousers and a small white jacket that wouldn't close.
