The bear is a decent grappler, LOL.

I really don't like seeing videos like this for obvious reasons. What I will say is it's interesting how natural the bear is in its movements. It's either trying to breakdown the kid from the back or it's trying to pin the kid from cross body.
Wrestling is arguably part of animal DNA at least when it comes to exerting dominance in an Alpha leader scenario where going to your back is a sign of submissiveness.
It's also why submission grappling at the highest levels prefer the use of a top game even from Jiujitsu circles. It's why BJJ players are fighting for takedowns. It's why there's been so much focus on sweeps in the last few years especially in the development of X Guard and Deep Half Guard. It's why Roger Gracie goes for the Cross Choke from Mount, or the RNC from behind.
Just some musings for you.

Humans have the conceit to believe we actually created wrestling, when its simply a part of our animal DNA. One bear actually uses the guard at one point while the other bear attempts to pass. The Gorillas grip fight for the takedown till they simply just tire out.

The bears also go into an over-under neutral clinch.
