None of the executors post here, and no one here is officially affiliated with them. From talking to them their position is not to use Gotch's name to further a business when he's no longer here to defend himself, and who Gotch actually endorsed is a matter of record.
I can tell you right now how much money I personally have made with this main website: £4.17p from Google Ads. The domain name and webspace renewal per year is around £30 off the top of my head. I set up the site and continue to pay for it because I enjoy the aspects of Catch whether it's history, or philosophy or whatever and want to share that with anyone willing to afford their time to read or watch (and I know I've not updated since September, but those are my issues).
In my opinion your comment is typical of someone wanting to distract and try to cast the light on someone else. You have a right to defend your name, but so far you've offered little to adequately do so.
If you have an issue, take it up with Gotch's executors. I'm sure they'd be willing to meet you head on if you feel like throwing down a gauntlet.

Thanks for that. Found it funny when it was talking about Pay Per View when none of the other sports mentioned are on PPV! haha

Who did u find this out from? what I heard is that he spent 6 years living with Gotch.. I found out from the executors of Gotch's estate - people who actually did know him and spend time with him. 6 years is completely false.

Good interview, as always with Erik.

Absolutely. Funaki was war torn and I think that was his first fight in something like 4 years?

OK, in a nutshell he spent 8 weeks in Florida and was shown very little by Gotch or his assistant coaches other than basic ground positions. He was not a live-in student during this time, and you're not going to master anything - even basics - in 8 weeks. The only live-in student Gotch had was Sayama and that was many years before.
Chase is apparently legit in his other arts and has put the time in, but 8 weeks learning just positions (and not necessarily with Gotch, as Gotch was mostly attending to his ill wife's needs) does not make you qualified to coach Catch let alone use Gotch's name to do so.
Please pass on this information to the MMA.tv boards so people don't get hoodwinked.

I really like Greg Nelson's stuff, in general. he probably has the best material on the Clinch out there.

Yeah it looks solid. I added it to the Spiral Breakdown technique blog post last week or whenever. Could do without the clown music though, especially as the volume spikes.

Yep, I'd have to agree. They wrestled more like nogi submission guys back then, imo.

Telles is essentially using sweeps and escapes from folkstyle wrestling, but slightly modified because he uses Gi grips. Check out DSTRYRSG.com for a recent article on Catch Wrestlers using the 'Turtle' to counter a guy trying to get their hooks in.

OK, I don't think much of this series really. The boxing aspect is bad, and the clinch aspect is awful. You get all the info you need out of the standing DWL and Front Chokes from what's on youtube and similarly the stuff on the ground. Having watched this and then watching the CSW products (Erik Paulson, Greg Nelson) that covers stuff like clinch and ground control the difference is night and day. LAOH had more to offer imo.
